This explains what happens to the details you give me when you use my free website check. I’ve kept it short and in plain English.
Who I am
I’m Caro Syson, trading as Website Glowups. I’m a sole trader based in Hertfordshire, UK, and I look after the details you give me here.
What I collect
When you use the free check, I keep the website address you check, your name and your email address. I also keep the results of the check. If you came to the check through a finder’s link, I keep their code too.
Why I use it
I use your details to show you your results, send them to you and contact you about your website. I won’t send you marketing unless you ask me to.
My lawful basis
I rely on legitimate interests. You’ve asked for a check, and I need your details to reply to that request. You can object at any time and I’ll stop.
Who else sees it
I never sell or give your details to anyone. They’re stored securely with Cloudflare, my hosting provider.
To test your speed, Google’s PageSpeed service looks at your public website address only. It never sees your name or your email.
How long I keep it
I keep your details for 12 months and then delete them, unless you become a client.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, delete it or stop using it. Just email me and I’ll sort it out.
If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though I’d love the chance to put it right first.
Contact me
You can email me at my email address.
